Festival "Cologne Lights"
This event is a magnificent presentation of lights and fireworks on the Rhine, held annually in mid-July. The Cologne Festival has been gathering an unimaginable number of spectators (locals and tourists) since 2001. Moreover, every year the number of viewers only increases. If the first year the event was attended by several tens of thousands of people, the seventh festival brought together about one and a half million children and adults from different countries who want to watch an unforgettable performance, enjoy a magical, incendiary and vibrant setting, a bewitching flicker of evening lights. Multicolor sparks and flashes in the sky, grandiose sparklers, colorful fiery fountains turn the Rhine promenade into a real arena of flame. The festival ends with a huge musical performance in time with the soaring lights. Throughout the festival, spectators are accompanied by various entertainment concerts, competitions, as well as other events and the opportunity to taste delicious dishes on Earth.
Montenegro Statehood Day
Montenegro's national holiday is celebrated annually on July 13. The date of the celebration was chosen for two reasons at once: firstly, on this date in 1878, the Berlin Congress recognized Montenegro as independent (initially it was part of the Serbian state), and secondly, on July 13, 1941, a major uprising began against the Italian occupiers which soon found itself in crisis and played a significant role in the maturation of the civil war.

Day of the Twelve Apostles
Today the Orthodox Church honors the memory of the twelve apostles who were the closest disciples and successors of Jesus Christ. The history of their lives, suffering and bearing the Word of God is fully set forth in the New Testament (book "Acts of the Holy Apostles"). Those who even studied the Bible at least superficially certainly know the names of these saints: brothers Peter and Andrew, James Zavedeev and John the Theologian, Bartholomew, Philip, Matthew (aka Levi Matthew). Thaddeus, Jacob Alfeev, Simon Kananin, Thomas and Judas Iscariot (then, after he betrayed the Master, he was replaced by the Apostle Matthew).
In Russia on this day, people held a celebration on the entry of summer into the hottest phase. Gathering in the fields, peasants dressed in their best clothes, and after a short work feasted and had fun until late at night. And in the middle of the solemn table, it was customary to lay a ceremonial doll made of straw, dressed in a sundress and decorated with rhinestones. After a plentiful dinner with this doll, they went around all the houses in the village, she completed her "journey" by the river, where she was eventually drowned. Today, there was also a tradition of dyeing eggs with onion husks and then sharing them with each other. By the way, the twelve-table table should have included egg dishes - first of all, these are different types of fried eggs (with herbs, ham, cheese, etc.) and boiled eggs in homemade sauce (something like mayonnaise).

Thirteen teams from Uruguay, Peru, Belgium, Argentina, USA, Yugoslavia, Romania, France, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Paraguay and Bolivia took part in the Championship. However, here on July 30, the Uruguayan team won, ahead of the Argentine national team in the final match.
